“This sucker’s quick.”
That’s the review from President Joe Biden of Ford’s new all electric F-150 after he took a quick spin around Ford Motor Co.’s test track yesterday, according to a report from Bloomberg.

The unscheduled stop to Ford’s facilities in Dearborn, Mich. comes as the President and automakers are both looking to electric vehicles to give American manufacturing another jolt.
Biden’s proposed infrastructure plan calls for $174 billion to boost the electric vehicle market as part of a sweeping $2 trillion package that includes a whole host of sustainability upgrades to the nation’s industrial fabric.
“I’m just gonna step on it. I’ll come off at 80 miles an hour,” Biden told reporters during his test drive, according to Bloomberg’s report.
Dubbed the Lightning, the Ford F-150 is definitely quick — with Biden revealing that the truck can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 4.3 or 4.4 seconds (a figure the official told Bloomberg hadn’t been revealed).
“I should be quiet,” Biden then joked.
Ford’s truck will make its official public debut today.
Ford has spent a lot of time and money developing a new “Rogue Electric Vehicle Center” in Dearborn, Michigan, where Biden appeared to promote his infrastructure plan.
